Lead Mitigation Technician $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience) + on-call bonuses + commissions program We are seeking an experienced Lead Mitigation Technician to head our emergency disaster restoration team. You will oversee on-site property damage emergency services caused by water, fire, smoke, and mold. This role requires emergency response management, crew supervision, and clear customer communication during stressful situations
THE ROLE
Site Assessment & Emergency Response:
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, surveyors, and insurance adjusters. Conduct moisture inspections, evaluate damages, and immediately set up structural drying equipment. Respond to residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, storm, or mold damage. Conduct initial site visits, moisture inspections, and survey structural/content damage. Safely perform structural demolition using hand and power tools, and handle post-demolition cleanup. Set up and maintain restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers) within manufacturer and industry guidelines
Team Leadership & Crew Management:
Lead and mentor technicians, providing hands-on coaching in equipment usage, field procedures, and daily operations.
Safety & Property Preservation:
Perform the physical demolition of unrestorable materials and stabilize the property to minimize further damage. Demolish structurally unsafe or damaged materials using hand and power tools, and manage the clean-up of the job site post-demolition
Job Documentation:
Accurately record job progress, moisture readings, and take thorough photographic evidence for the claims and insurance process. Contact customers with accurate Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs). Document jobs meticulously by taking progress photos and completing notes in the RMS (Restoration Management System). Record and accurately code all working hours to specific jobs
Fleet & Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure the work vehicle is clean, organized, and properly stocked for emergency dispatches. Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Fast learner of RMS, Xactimate, and MICA. Skillful creation of technical documents and job estimates. Strong foundational office computer literacy. High-level customer service delivery. Professional phone and face-to-face interactions. Strict maintenance of company and client confidentiality. Proven ability to guide and manage technicians. Demonstrated capacity to work completely independently. Successful management of multiple active jobs simultaneously. Safe handling of both hand and power tools. Strict adherence to safety protocols in danger zones. Safe and responsible driving of company vehicles. Full availability to participate in an on-call rotation. Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle. Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs Frequently will lift up to 60lbs
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Customer Service experience 1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling
Preferred Education and Experience:
