Position Overview The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting residential home security and smart home systems. This role requires a mix of technical ability, customer‑service skills, and professionalism. Technicians are trusted with ADT equipment, represent Home Integrity Solutions in customers' homes, and are expected to deliver timely, high‑quality service while identifying opportunities to enhance customers' systems based on their needs. This position reports directly to the Technician Manager. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, service, and troubleshoot home security and smart home systems Educate customers on system operation, features, and best practices Identify and recommend upgrades or additional products that meet customer needs Provide your own vehicle and travel within the Pittsburgh market and surrounding areas (mileage reimbursed) Safely handle, secure, and account for ADT equipment and tools Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and customer care Contribute positively to team culture and overall operational success Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required; technical certificate or related field preferred Prior experience in technical installation, security systems, low‑voltage, or a related field preferred Strong customer‑service and communication skills Ability to confidently identify upsell opportunities and explain solutions to customers Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented with strong time‑management skills Comfortable working independently in customer homes Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and acceptable driving record required Compensation & Benefits $50,000 - $75,000 annual compensation, based on experience and performance W‑2, full‑time employment Mileage reimbursement for regional travel Growth and advancement opportunities as the company expands Supportive, team‑oriented company culture Work with industry‑leading ADT technology Working Conditions & Physical Requirements This position operates primarily in field environments, including customer homes, with occasional interaction at office or warehouse locations Regular local and regional travel using a personal vehicle to perform installations and service calls Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on installation schedules and customer availability Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and move throughout the workday, including working in attics, basements, and crawl spaces Regular use of hand tools, ladders, power tools, mobile devices, and diagnostic equipment Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to 50 pounds Frequent verbal and written communication with customers, supervisors, and team members Home Integrity Solutions provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA).
