Field Installation Technician Supervisor

Amarillo, TX | $24.00-$28.00 per hour (based on experience) | Full-Time Plains Internet is seeking a dependable and experienced Field Installation Technician Supervisor to lead our installation team in Amarillo. This is a hybrid position that combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on fieldwork as an individual contributor . The ideal candidate will actively perform installations and service calls while also leading, supporting, and developing a team of technicians. What You'll Do Lead, train, and support installation technicians in the field Serve as both a supervisor and an individual contributor by completing installations, service calls, and troubleshooting Perform site surveys to determine serviceability Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues and provide escalation support Configure routers and customer devices as needed Oversee and assist with equipment upgrades for existing customers Monitor inventory accuracy and equipment transfers Ensure proper maintenance of company tools, vehicles, and equipment Enforce safety standards and company policies Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated customer concerns Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of technicians Drive company vehicles safely and ensure team adherence to driving policies Perform other related duties as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in installation, field service, or wireless internet preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on individual contribution Comfortable working in customer homes and professionally interacting with customers Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions Experience with hand tools and power tools Safety-minded, dependable, and punctual Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field Current valid driver's license required Must be eligible to be added to company auto insurance Additional Requirements Comfortable working on roofs and in confined spaces Must pass background check and drug screen Regular and predictable attendance required Able to lift equipment as needed Physical Demands and Work Environment This role is fast-paced and may involve changing schedules and shifting priorities. Work is performed both in the office and out in the field across Amarillo and surrounding areas.
