Duties & Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on customer equipment and vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and post-repair testing to support safe, reliable operation. Use schematics and diagnostic tools to identify problems and document labor, parts, and findings accurately. Travel to customer sites to service customer equipment and vehicles; respond to urgent service calls as needed. Operate and maintain a company service truck, manage onboard inventory, communicate updates clearly, and follow all safety and site rules.

Requirements Required:

High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of heavy equipment or diesel repair experience in a shop or field service environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Class A or B CDL required. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and modern diagnostics. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals and use scan tools, meters, and gauges. Willingness to travel with periodic overnight stays and work outdoors in all weather. Strong problem-solving, time management, and customer communication skills. Able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a background check and drug screen, and provide basic hand tools.

Preferred:

Vocational or technical training, or certifications in diesel, brakes, or electrical systems. Prior field service experience working independently and managing a service truck. Experience in energy, rail, or utility environments. Basic welding or hydraulic hose fabrication experience. Compensation $32.00 - $36.00/hour based on experience and certifications Fully equipped take-home service truck and fuel card provided after training All travel and lodging expenses covered $50 daily per diem when traveling paid directly on paycheck Schedules vary. Will be discussed during interview.
