In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of power generation equipment, including diesel-powered generators and related systems. Your expertise will ensure reliable power solutions for our clients across diverse industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, develop your technical skills, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on portable and stationary generators, including diesel engine repair and electrical systems. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on power generation equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each job performed. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction. Support sales efforts by identifying potential upgrades or additional services during service calls. Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience as a service technician in dealership or heavy equipment environments. Proven experience with diesel engine repair, generator troubleshooting, and electrical systems. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Familiarity with heavy equipment maintenance. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other mechanical repair instruments. Experience working with Generac or similar machinery is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various outdoor conditions. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices relevant to power generation equipment is desirable.
