Industrial X-Ray Equipment used in the Food, Beverage, & Pharmaceutical Industries Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our growing technical support team. In this role, you will be the face of our company at customer sites, ensuring our high-tech machinery operates at peak performance. You will be responsible for commissioning at new install and troubleshooting, and repair of our install base. Our equipment are complex, PC/PLC-controlled systems used in the highly regulated food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning:
Set up and test new high-speed machines at customer facilities, ensuring integration with existing production lines.Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving electromechanical drives , conveying systems , and pneumatic controls .Control Systems Support:
Interface with PLC and PC-based control systems to perform diagnostics, updates, and minor programming adjustments.Preventative Maintenance:
Help our customers implement advanced maintenance methods to avoid unscheduled downtime and extend the lifecycle of the equipment.Customer Training:
Educate customer operators and maintenance staff on machine safety, operation, and basic troubleshooting.Documentation:
Complete detailed service reports, expense logs, and parts orders in a timely manner.Requirements & Qualifications Education:
Degree in Mechatronics , Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military/industrial experience.Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motor drives, sensors and mechanical conveyor systems. Proficiency in trouble shooting electro-mechanical system Experience with PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar X-Ray safety and experience a plusIndustry Experience:
Prior experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical sectors and working in FDA regulated environments a is a plus but not a requirementTravel Mobility:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 70% of the time , including some weekends and international travel if required.Soft Skills:
