Field Service Technician

Job Title:

Maintenance and Repair Technician (Specialized Equipment) I. Position Overview & Core Duties Performs a wide range of maintenance, repair, installation, calibration, and fabrication tasks for highly complex, sophisticated, and specialized equipment and systems. Ensures optimal functionality, safety, and compliance with technical standards. II.

Physical Requirements Movement:

Standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, and walking on uneven ground.

Body Mechanics:

Squatting, twisting, repetitive arm/hand motions, and static gripping of objects for prolonged periods.

Strength Requirements:

Lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs of force, and carrying up to 15 lbs.

Dexterity & Senses:

Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking.

Tool Use:

Operates electronic test equipment, hand and power tools, and various office equipment. III.

Typical Working Conditions Environment:

Works both indoors and outdoors, exposed to varying environmental conditions.

Hazards:

Potential exposure to high electrical currents, chemicals, hazardous materials, communicable diseases, and body fluids.

Radiation:

Possible exposure to x-ray and laser radiation.

Applicant Requirements:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electronics or Engineering or completion of Biomedical Equipment Technician program Two (2) years training as a capital equipment, biomedical or electronic technician may be substituted for educational or training program requirement Field service technician experience preferred Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills Training provided. Commitment required Displays strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well and efficiently under pressure Strong ability to manage and maintain excellent customer relationships Must own basic tool kit Must possess personal automobile, current auto insurance and safety check Must possess valid driver's license and clean abstract Prompt, reliable, and available to work 40 hours a week, and work nights and weekends Must exercise high moral character and social responsibility Pay is highly competitive and open to negotiation based on qualifications
