Job Summary:
As a Lead Field Service Fire Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of field service technicians, providing technical guidance and support in fire protection systems. Your expertise and leadership will drive the success of our field service operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and will be based out of the Saginaw, MI office. We also have a Grand Rapids, MI office available for collaboration with other FSPs across Michigan. This role is remote/hybrid in nature, requiring travel to customer sites to perform the tasks necessary to complete project work and service calls. In this role, you will impact the safety and compliance of fire protection systems, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support, which ultimately enhances their safety and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee field service operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Provide technical expertise and support for complex fire protection systems issues, both remotely and on-site. Perform fire alarm system installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications and safety codes. Diagnose and resolve complex issues with fire alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, and devices. Program fire alarm control panels and associated software tools for optimal system performance. Perform project-based installations and, when contract requirements call for it, execute customer service repairs and system testing. Apply knowledge of NFPA and other fire safety regulations governing system performance and compliance. Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, tests, configurations, and service actions.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on fire protection systems. NICET Certification (Fire Alarm Systems): At least NICET Level I or higher or willingness to obtain within 90 days. Valid Driver's License required due to travel between customer sites. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in fire alarm and life safety systems. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. Experience driving process improvements and implementing best practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $68,700 - $85,850 . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
