Dilmar distributes various lubricants, oils, greases, and other petroleum products, as well as fluid reclamation and on-site fluid services. Dilmar continues to be one of the largest lubricant distributors in the Southeast. Dilmar Fluid Services, a division of Dilmar Oil Company, provides a wide range of lubrications services to our customers to help ensure the continued health of their lubricants and equipment. The work focuses on building service-oriented relationships with customers in which we help them achieve reliability excellence. Position Summary The Lubrication Services Specialist - Dilmar Fluid Services position is responsible for the overall sales and service performance of an assigned areas in the Southeast US. This is a remote position based out of the Columbia, SC area with approximately 40% travel required. This is a hybrid role that combines relationship-driven account management with hands-on service execution. The right candidate is equally comfortable in a customer's office and on the plant floor - scouting leads for new work, building long-term partnerships, scoping technical service work, leading or supporting field crews to deliver it, and creating deliverables following project work.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow existing customer accounts while developing new business within the assigned Southeast territory. Conduct on-site customer visits to identify service opportunities. Design service scopes and prepare detailed quotes for fluid service projects, including oil reclamation, lubrication system service, oil filtration, custom flushing services, fluid management equipment rental/purchase, etc. Serve on or lead service crews on-site as needed to perform quoted work. Develop post-job deliverables and reporting for customers, including documentation of results and recommendations. Build and maintain strong relationships with plant engineering, maintenance and reliability, and EHS personnel. Coordinate with DFS technicians, operators, and office personnel to complete project work and handle customer needs. Maintain accurate records of customer activity and opportunities using CRM tools (NetSuite). Attend industry events and trade shows as needed.
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a relationship-focused sales approach. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to be hands-on in industrial environments. Ability to travel approximately 40% within the Southeast region (NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, FL). Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work safely in industrial environment. Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
STLE MLT/MLA or CLS certification (or willingness to obtain) Four-year degree in engineering, business, or related field. Prior experience in industrial lubricants, fluid services, or related industrial sales.
