As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a vital partner to medical facilities, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of essential surgical and sterilization equipment through expert maintenance and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Execute precise diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance procedures on complex electromechanical and steam-based medical systems. Manage a dynamic service territory by autonomously prioritizing urgent service calls, equipment installations, and field upgrades to maximize operational uptime. Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex system issues while maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance documentation. Provide consultative support to clinical staff regarding equipment functionality, repair options, and potential system enhancements. Utilize advanced mobile technology platforms to document service activities and ensure accurate reporting of all technical interventions. Drive customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality technical solutions that support the seamless operation of critical surgical departments. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant technical experience, including 2 years in a mechanical or electromechanical role. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems, with transferable skills from fields like HVAC, industrial maintenance, or aviation repair. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with mobile applications, email, and data entry systems. Valid driver's license and the ability to meet strict hospital vendor credentialing and physical requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional, customer-facing environment. Preferred Skills Associate degree or specialized certifications in a technical or mechanical discipline. Prior experience working within a regulated healthcare or clinical environment. Demonstrated success in managing field-based service territories or independent technical projects.
