Certified Lead Water & Fire Mitigation Technician Rytech Restoration of the Midlands - Columbia, SC Rytech Restoration of the Midlands is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Certified Lead Water & Fire Mitigation Technician who takes pride in quality work, leadership, and helping homeowners and businesses recover after disaster. What You'll Do As a Lead Technician, you'll be responsible for managing mitigation projects from start to finish while serving as a hands‑on leader in the field: Lead and perform water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation services Oversee job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Rytech/IICRC standards Set up and monitor drying equipment; perform moisture mapping and documentation Conduct demolition and controlled removal of damaged materials as needed Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and leadership management Train, mentor, and support mitigation assistants and junior technicians Complete accurate job documentation, photos, and daily reports using Mitigate and Mica software Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response What We're Looking For IICRC Certification required (WRT mandatory; FSRT strongly preferred) 2+ years of hands‑on mitigation experience (lead or senior tech level preferred) Strong knowledge of drying principles, equipment use, and industry best practices Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and job flow Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (MVR required) Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in crawlspaces/attics, and perform physical labor Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and problem‑solving mindset Comfortable with rotating on‑call schedule and occasional after‑hours work Why Work for Rytech of the Midlands?
