Service and Installation Technician Midwest Livestock Systems LLC Renner, SD Job Details Full-time $23 - $35 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Forklift Hand tools Material handling equipment operation Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description This position will work with dairy farm customers to service equipment, install equipment, provide emergency service and preventative maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assess, troubleshoot, and repair or install dairy milking and refrigeration equipment to the customer's satisfaction. Responsible for making all assigned service calls in a professional and responsible manner. Examine complaints, identify solutions, suggest improved methods and techniques, and recommend system improvements to customers. Troubleshoot milking systems and test systems to NMC standards and perform milking time/system checks. Responsible for waste handling product installation and service when directed Complete all necessary paperwork daily Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and protocols Maintain MLS tools and equipment in good working condition and provide own hand tools. Attend equipment technical training schools and other educational training sessions as requested. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Work on-call on a rotating basis with other service technicians to cover evenings and weekends on a rotating basis with other service technicians. Quality and customer focused Have a positive attitude and be reliable and responsible. Understand refrigeration, dairy milking equipment operation, installation, and repair Able to use common repair tools and techniques. Understand specialty tools and equipment necessary for troubleshooting and repairing dairy milking equipment Able to operate a forklift. Training on MLS forklift is required Valid driver's license
Education Education:
Bachelor's or associate degree with dairy or mechanical emphasis, preferred Refrigeration maintenance, preferred Electrical experience, a plus Excellent written, verbal and Microsoft Office skills Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401K & matching Holiday Pay Paid Time Off Life Insurance Aflac
