Travel per diem provided We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Technician to support and maintain our fleet of Jenbacher gas engines throughout Texas. While a significant amount of our current work is based in Abilene, this is a full-time travel position requiring approximately 70% travel to customer sites across the state, including the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, Austin, and surrounding regions. When not traveling, technicians will be based in Abilene supporting local projects and operations. Position Summary This role is responsible for providing hands-on electrical and mechanical service support for Jenbacher gas engines ranging from 0.25 MW to 9.5 MW. Responsibilities include commissioning, troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, and minor overhauls. Our engines operate on natural gas as well as alternative fuels including biogas, landfill gas, and industrial waste gases. Responsibilities Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics on Jenbacher gas engines and associated systems Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled service work Support engine commissioning and startup activities Complete repairs, component replacements, and minor overhauls Travel to customer sites throughout Texas to provide field service support Maintain accurate service documentation and reports Follow all company and customer safety requirements Travel & Per Diem Approximately 70% travel throughout Texas Company-paid travel expenses Daily travel per diem provided when traveling overnight or for extended assignments Most travel assignments are within Texas, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and surrounding areas Qualifications Strong electrical troubleshooting experience Industrial power generation, engine, generator, or rotating equipment experience preferred Ability to travel extensively throughout Texas Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with steady work, competitive pay, and the chance to work on industry-leading power generation equipment throughout Texas, we'd like to hear from you.Why Join Us Work with advanced, industry-leading power generation technology Competitive pay and benefits package Company vehicle, tools, and training provided Career growth opportunities within a global energy organization Contribute to sustainable and alternative energy solutions Logan M.
