SUMMARY:
A Fuel Service Technician (FST) I- TRAINEE for Carbon Fuel Services (CFS) is a crucial field position whose primary duties are to assist any other FSTs out in the field and learn and retain the services offered by Carbon Fuel Services for clientele. An FST I
- TRAINEE performs physical tasks in the field that are assigned by the CFS Site lead and is to learn the basics and safety requirements to be fully capable of performing fuel maintenance services. FST
- Trainees are to learn and understand all paperwork and forms related required by CFS and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(- include but are not limited to the following)
- Train with CFS Fuel Service technicians on how to become an independent technical individual knowledgeable about Carbon Fuel Services service offerings
- Once trained will be responsible for Filling out all tasks that are performed on the Service Work Orders/FSRs. Trains with other CFS FSTs to be capable of understanding long-term work results and methodology to be capable of discussing with the customers the work performed and then obtaining their signature
- Interfacing with the personnel handling Parts for Carbon Fuel Service and following all processes for procurement to retrieve all PM based parts and understand how parts and materials are distributed
- Performs training to learn and understand the usage of any parts, materials, subs, or any other resources on jobs performed so that Carbon Fuel Services can properly account for costs and bill accordingly as necessary.
- Perform documentation for trained FSTs that relays any additional work found needed or requested by client. Shadows other qualified CFS personnel on how to discuss and go over the project scope with CFS Service project management or owner prior to performing.
- Uses CFS provided credit card following credit card purchasing procedures at all times and completes required expense report weekly, turning into Carbon Fuel Services Office Manager by 5:00 pm each Friday afternoon.
- Responsible for reporting personal work progress to service support coordination team daily.
- Submits completed and accurate Field Service Reports (FSRs) on a timely basis
- Support all field activities and performs labor tasks asked of by higher ranking FSTs to ensure CFS is maintaining compliance with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures for federal, state, county, and guidelines
- Ensuring assigned company vehicles are properly cleaned and always maintained including communicating about required maintenance on the vehicle (tracking maintenance is a shared duty between CFS and the driver)
- Trains on the policies and procedures on how to maintain and control any inventory in Carbon Fuel Services work vehicle.
- Required to represent Carbon Fuel Services appropriately and in a professional, respectful manner during any business activity, sales call, or internal engagement
- Able to travel for periods up to 2 weeks at a time possible out of state. Carbon Fuel Services will provide hotel accommodations and technician will be provided a per diem per night stayed.
- Able to drive and or ride in a company truck for multiple hours at a time, then able to perform your duties upon arrival.
- Willing & able to fly in a commercial airplane as a team or an individual based on job requirements.
- Ability to work up to 40 ft off the ground without a fear of heights while wearing fall protection provided by CFS.
- Responsible for ensuring all documents pertaining to safety-related needs on a Jobsite that Carbon Fuel Services could perform work on.
- Puts all safety requirements at the top of priorities during job walks and when performing or projects. Safety is CFS's number one priority in all situations, and CFS will not accommodate anything less than the strictest of safety protocols while on-site performing services.
- Required to maintain a positive, working relationship with field technicians, support staff, and partners of Carbon Fuel Services to work as a team within Carbon Fuel Services.
- Required to have a positive attitude towards all tasks assigned by other FSEs or support personnel in order to move up and be promoted to Level I FST and remove the TRAINEE designation off the title.
- Other duties as assigned accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in English verbal and written communications Must possess a valid drivers license with no restrictions. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Organized and passionate about completing things on time with the capability of following and keeping to a schedule. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and document organization. Proficiency with an iPhone, Laptop, & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PDF) Experience with hand tools such as pipe wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. Experience & background in oil field, pipe fitting, plumbing, & electrical is preferred. Ability to work as a team and as an individual. Clean criminal background and driving record. HS diploma and experience performing jobs in the field having to drive to and from job sites and reporting daily activities to the office or a project manager/service dispatcher. Must have the ability to work in the USA, qualify to work internationally (obtain a passport), & pass a drug screen upon hiring and annually as well.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
There are physical demands that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to operate a vehicle, equipment, computers and telephone, file and retrieve documents at their jobsite, truck and CFS office, and make calls on clients, colleagues, and vendors. Regularly they will be on their feet, reach with hands and arms in a variety of spaces with restrictions; consistently you will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Lift and Move Functions:
Very Frequently will lift to 50 pounds; Occasionally will have to lift over 50 pounds and potentially utilize lifting and moving equipment to perform the movement and transfer of assets, inventory, or equipment in the field on jobsites, vendor or supplier locations, and Carbon Fuel Services brick and mortar facilities.WORK ENVIRONMENT
