Responsibilities for Field Service Technician include but are not limited to: Responsibilities for Field Service Technician Include but are not limited to: We are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to support an onsite laptop memory upgrade initiative for Amazon users. Technicians will be responsible for performing RAM upgrades on Client's EliteBook 840 G9, G10, and G11 devices in a structured, high-volume environment. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to standardized procedures to ensure a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities Perform memory upgrades on Client's EliteBook 840 G9, G10, and G11 laptops Replace existing 8GB memory modules with 16GB memory modules (dual configuration) Execute upgrades in a fast-paced environment, averaging approximately 5 minutes per device Coordinate with Amazon technicians for device intake and handoff Follow strict operational procedures for disassembly, upgrade, and reassembly Monitor and manage device boot cycles post-upgrade Support multiple devices concurrently during DDR boot processing Ensure all devices are functioning properly before returning to end users Assist with BIOS upgrades when required (approximately 10 minutes per device) Work Environment & Process Flow Amazon schedules users to attend designated conference room upgrade sessions Amazon technician checks in devices upon arrival Client's technician performs the hardware upgrade After upgrade completion, Amazon technician validates the device and returns it to the user Users log in to confirm successful operation Technical Responsibilities (Upgrade Procedure) Technicians will perform the following steps for each device: Power off device completely Remove back panel (loosen 5 screws) Disconnect power connector Access memory compartment Remove existing memory modules Install two 16GB memory modules Reassemble device components securely Responsibilities for Field Service Technician Include but are not limited to: Power on device and monitor DDR boot process: G9: ~4 minutes G10: ~1 minute G11: ~20 seconds Address POST error prompt by pressing Enter Prepare device for final validation Additional Responsibilities Perform BIOS upgrades when required prior to RAM installation Maintain careful handling and organization of all hardware components Work efficiently across multiple devices simultaneously Communicate effectively with onsite teams and end users Required Qualifications Experience with laptop hardware repair or upgrades Familiarity with Client's EliteBook devices preferred Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to follow standardized technical procedures Comfortable working in a high-throughput environment Basic understanding of BIOS and system boot processes Tools & Equipment Technicians must supply their own small precision screwdrivers All memory components and required materials will be provided onsite Preferred Skills Prior field service or depot repair experience Experience with RAM installation and troubleshooting Ability to multitask and manage workflow efficiently Customer-facing professionalism Estimated Time Per Task Standard RAM upgrade: ~5 minutes per device

Pay Details:
