Generator Technician / Field Service Technician

Overview TexPro Generator Service LLC is a veteran-owned and operated company serving the Greater Houston and Southeast Texas area. We specialize in standby generator maintenance, repair, diagnostics, installation, ATS service, and emergency response for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal facilities. We are actively hiring an experienced Generator Technician / Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in generators, diesel engines, transfer switches, electrical troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, or field service repair . Job Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on standby generators Troubleshoot and repair Generac, Kohler, Cummins/Onan, Gillette, and other major generator brands Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues involving: control systems voltage regulators batteries and chargers fuel systems sensors and engine alarms Service and troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) Perform load bank testing and transfer testing Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Troubleshoot controllers, ECM wiring, PLC signals, and switchgear interfaces Complete digital and written service reports Respond to scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls Maintain professional communication with customers onsite Preferred Experience Generator technician experience Diesel technician experience Electrical technician / industrial maintenance ATS and switchgear troubleshooting Standby power systems Field service repair Engine diagnostics Preventive maintenance reporting Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of generator, diesel, or electrical troubleshooting experience preferred Strong understanding of 480V / 208V three-phase systems is a plus Ability to read wiring diagrams and control drawings Valid driver's license Ability to lift equipment and work outdoors Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Pay & Benefits $30-$35 per hour Overtime opportunities Paid Time Off 401(k) with up to 5% company match Growth opportunities into lead technician roles Supportive veteran-owned team environment About TexPro TexPro Generator Service is a fast-growing company specializing in mission-critical standby power systems.
