Job Description

Your Environmental Specialist (YES), a leading environmental compliance company, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician & Tank Inspector. This role combines the responsibilities of an Underground Storage Tank Inspector and a Field Service Technician, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental protection while advancing your career. Key Responsibilities Conduct monthly Class B fuel compliance inspections, including visual observation and survey of site conditions at fueling facilities. Perform site assessments, leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping, and installation of equipment such as tank gauge systems. Provide on-site training to customers or company employees, ensuring adherence to strict safety and technical protocols. Capture inspection results and test data using customized software programs on handheld devices or laptops. Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on company vehicle. Drive company service vehicle to customer locations, frequently on a prescribed route. Perform limited maintenance tasks as indicated based upon site conditions. Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including DOT physical, drug screens, DMV checks, and background checks. Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and/or experience in trades, over-the-road driving, or industrial/commercial settings preferred. Ability to lift up to 70lbs, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb a 20ft extension ladder. Clean driving record and willingness to travel within a multistate area, occasionally requiring overnight stays. Strong work ethic, safety-minded attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable using computers, tablets, or smartphones for data entry and reporting.
