This position primarily works independently throughout the day, traveling from customer home to customer home in a company-provided vehicle to respond to scheduled service, maintenance, and repair calls. Service Technicians are expected to effectively manage their time, communicate professionally with customers, accurately document work performed, and represent the company in a positive and professional manner. Because this role requires daily operation of a company vehicle, Service Technicians must maintain a valid driver's license, a clean and insurable driving record, and comply with all company vehicle policies and safe driving practices. Successful Service Technicians demonstrate strong technical and troubleshooting abilities, work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize safety, and consistently provide high-quality service that builds customer trust and satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and indoor air quality systems. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups according to company standards. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow-related issues. Accurately identify repair needs and present recommendations to customers. Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and available service options. Complete all required documentation, work orders, and invoices accurately and timely. Utilize company software and mobile technology to document services performed and customer interactions. Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory. Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Participate in ongoing technical and professional development training. Respond to emergency service calls and rotating on-call schedules as assigned. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers. Meet established performance expectations related to productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record reviews. EPA Certification. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and field service software. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Preferred NATE Certification. Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software. Experience with IAQ products, duct systems, and system performance testing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and airflow principles. Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to explain technical information in a customer-friendly manner. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, and stand for extended periods. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment. Working Conditions Work is performed in residential homes and outdoor environments. Exposure to dust, insulation, electrical components, chemicals, and varying temperatures. May require evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work. Frequent driving throughout the service area. •
