FIELD

TECHNICIAN

Starting Salary:

$16.00 per hour, Commensurate with Experience The South Texas Water Authority, a Texas "at-will" employer, is accepting applications for Field Technician.

DUTIES:

Reading meters, repairing leaks, assisting with pump and motor repair and replacement, taking water samples, operating a variety of equipment including backhoe and trackhoe, and performing various other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required. Two years of experience in waterworks operations, use of general construction equipment, and a class "D" water certificate issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality preferred, but not required. Successful applicant must have a valid driver's license, be able to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License, and be insurable under the Authority's current carriers. The successful applicant must be able to lift 50 - 80 pounds on a regular basis, perform all job requirements and pass a drug/alcohol test, background check and physical examination. Will train qualified candidate.
