This role ensures that all customer equipment operates efficiently and reliably while maintaining Axis Water Technologies' commitment to exceptional service, water quality, and customer satisfaction. The Lead Service Technician serves as the primary field expert, providing advanced technical knowledge and operational guidance to both customers and technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead, train, and mentor Service Technicians and support staff in the field. Perform installation, startup, maintenance, and repair of commercial, industrial, and residential water treatment systems. Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and water treatment equipment issues. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Coordinate service schedules and prioritize emergency service calls. Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, and customer documentation. Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers in a professional manner. Support remote monitoring initiatives and analyze system performance data. Assist in developing service procedures, best practices, and technician training programs. Manage inventory of service parts, tools, and equipment. Work closely with sales and operations teams to identify service opportunities and support customer retention efforts. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent customer service needs when required. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of experience in water treatment, industrial equipment service, mechanical systems, plumbing, or related field. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead field operations. Preferred Experience with reverse osmosis, filtration, softening, disinfection, chemical feed, and wastewater treatment systems. Knowledge of pumps, motors, controls, PLCs, and instrumentation. Water treatment certifications or industry-related licenses. Supervisory or team leadership experience. OSHA safety training or related certifications. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in industrial, commercial, and outdoor environments. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and use of hand tools. Ability to travel to customer locations as required. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Service response time and completion rate. Equipment uptime and reliability. Customer satisfaction scores. Preventive maintenance compliance. First-time fix rate. Technician training and development progress. Safety performance and compliance.
