The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of safety valves, valves, and Emergency Shut Down equipment in oilfield operations. This role ensures that safety valves, valves, and ESD equipment function correctly to protect equipment and personnel from potential hazards. The position requires frequent travel to field locations and adherence to strict safety and operational standards.Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, calibrate, and commission safety valves in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of safety valves. Conduct troubleshooting and repair activities on safety valves and associated equipment.Inspection and Testing:
Inspect safety valves for proper operation and compliance with safety regulations. Conduct pressure tests and other diagnostic tests to verify valve functionality. Document and report inspection results, including any necessary corrective actions.Technical Support:
Provide technical support and expertise to field teams and clients regarding safety valve systems. Train and guide field personnel and clients on the proper operation and maintenance of safety valves, valves, and esd equipment. Respond to service calls and address issues promptly to minimize downtime.Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Follow company and industry standards for environmental and safety compliance. Report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues to the appropriate authorities.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Prepare and submit detailed service reports, including any observations and recommendations. Ensure all paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Equipment and Tools:
Utilize and maintain tools and equipment necessary for safety valve installation and repair. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and adhere to safety standards. Order and manage spare parts and supplies as needed for field operations.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical or industrial technology is preferred. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of safety valves, valves, and ESD equipment preferably in the oilfield sector. Strong understanding of safety valve operations, pressure systems, and oilfield equipment. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a field environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing, and working in challenging environments. Willingness to work in various weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments. Ability to work long hours and travel frequently to different field locations.Work Environment:
Field-based role with frequent travel to oilfield sites. Exposure to outdoor elements, industrial environments, and safety hazards. May require working in remote or confined spaces and adhering to strict safety protocols.Job Type:
