Job Summary :
The Field Service Technician will support the pre-commissioning, installation, commissioning, yearly equipment maintenance, field operator training and warranty commitments at customer locations across the Rocky Mountains region.
Responsibilities:
Create a positive customer experience at customer sites throughout Western Pennsylvania. Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Qnergy's Instrument Air products and remote power generation. Perform remote field support, system and component testing. Write product and process documentation, and lead training sessions. Communicate manufacturing and engineering issues discovered in the field. Work as part of a cross-functional team to find solutions.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Post Secondary Technical diploma in engineering discipline (i.e. electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, etc.). Must have 1+ year of field experience: experience servicing air compressors, HVAC, and other rotating power equipment preferred. Advantage to have any safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHIMS.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and other documents. Exceptional mechanical skills and experience with mechanical and electrical systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills, and excellent record keeping abilities. Self-directed, highly motivated and disciplined. Ability to lead and direct training for customers. Must be organized and able to multi-task in a changing environment without supervision. Must have a professional presence, both online and in-person. Must speak and hear clearly, both in-person and by telephone.
Work Environment:
Will be part of an on-call rotation requiring availability during non-standard hours. Extensive travel on short notice for extended time periods, including weekends and holidays. Outdoor exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and arid conditions. Work may be performed in areas where noise levels are elevated. Regularly required to perform a wide variety of physical Some lifting up to 80 pounds may be required. Regular use of computers is required. Requires presence in the office or on the job site.
