Service Manager Job Overview The Field Service Technician is a highly self-motivated professional who has a minimum of two years' experience pertaining to mechanical equipment service (i.e. air compressors, pumps). This individual must be able to provide service as needed on a 24/7 basis to our customers. Some jobs do require an overnight stay, and mandatory training classes may also require this individual to be out of town for one-week periods. Our most successful

Possesses superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills Exhibit goal-oriented behaviors and time management principles Exude a customer-focused attitude Apply extensive attention to detail to all tasks Toggle between projects and responsibilities with ease Have mechanical and electrical experience with air compressors and pumps, and the ability to troubleshoot. Possess basic experience with computers and wireless communication devices. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics Ability to operate test/measuring equipment Have compressed air equipment field service experience. Possesses a High school diploma / GED equivalent Must be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug test Must maintain an active, REAL ID compliant driver's license with a clean driving record, or a valid U.S. passport, as required for access to federal facilities.
Scope of responsibility:
Independently perform expert field service and repair on compressed air equipment. Follow OSHA Safety requirements at all times Perform new & repaired equipment start-up commissioning and training. Properly and accurately complete service-related documentation, and utilize electronic communication & documentation devices where applicable (i.e. Wireless tablets). Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers alike. Maintain an organized, clean, and resourceful work environment to include the shop, work area, and service vehicle. Consistently provide courteous and professional representation of Cummins-Wagner employees and products. Required to be on call and able to travel for out-of-town jobs. Some jobs do require an overnight stay, and mandatory training classes may also require this individual to be out of town for one-week periods Serve as a mentor and assist with the training of new field service technicians Perform all other duties as assigned Cummins-Wagner gives back to their employees: Employee Stock Ownership Program Bonus Program Tuition and Certification Fee Assistance 401k
