Job Description

Field Service Technician - FSR3 (Onsite) Full Time | Competitive Compensation | Frequent Travel Required Job Overview The Field Service Technician (FSR3) provides advanced technical support for field operations, performing troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of electrical systems, industrial controls, and related equipment at customer sites. This role is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and essential to ensuring reliable system performance and high‑quality service delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with power systems and electrical equipment. Key ResponsibilitiesField Service Support Perform on‑site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including transformers, circuit breakers, low‑ and medium‑voltage switchgear, and PLC controls. Conduct diagnostics and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency. Support system startups and commissioning activities, ensuring equipment meets operational and customer specifications. Customer Interaction & Support Serve as the primary customer contact during service visits, addressing technical concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide basic training to customers on system operation and routine maintenance. Document service activities, including test results, troubleshooting steps, and performance feedback. Operational Efficiency Maintain accurate records of service work, time tracking, and on‑site inventory. Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Utilize remote diagnostic tools when appropriate to expedite issue resolution. Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and industry standards. Participate in safety training and maintain required safety certifications. QualificationsEducation High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred. Certifications such as
NFPA 70E, OSHA
30, or similar credentials are a plus. Experience 3-5 years of hands‑on field service experience focused on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls. Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, transformers, and circuit breakers. Skills & Competencies Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office. Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Extra Competencies Experience with low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical systems. Basic familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and protective relay systems. Experience using industry‑standard test equipment (e.g., multimeters, breaker test sets). Other Requirements Frequent travel, including overnight stays, to customer sites and regional service locations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
