Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fire and Water Restoration Technician, where your skills will be vital in restoring properties affected by fire, water, mold, and other damages. You will be at the forefront of the restoration industry, utilizing your expertise to assess damage, perform cleanup, and implement effective remediation solutions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of fire, water, mold, and asbestos damage to determine the scope of work needed. Perform cleaning and restoration tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to restore properties efficiently. Execute water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and mold remediation processes to prevent further damage. Assist with fire restoration efforts including soot removal, odor control, and structural cleaning. Utilize construction skills for minor repairs and prepare sites for reconstruction or further work. Operate carpet cleaning machines and perform asbestos abatement procedures following safety protocols. Document all work performed accurately and communicate progress with team members and clients effectively. Skills Proven experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning services. Strong knowledge of fire restoration techniques and water damage mitigation methods. Familiarity with mold remediation processes and asbestos abatement procedures. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other restoration equipment safely and effectively. Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and debris removal. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges during restoration projects. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients while maintaining safety standards.
