Water Damage Restoration Technician

We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a restoration technician. The responsibilities of the restoration technician include assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored homes. A restoration technician is expected to be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, and be great at working as a team. While higher education isn't required, having certifications or licensure in safety programs and previous experience in construction is a plus. These individuals will likely be dealing with customers who've lost parts or all of their homes; therefore, experience in customer service is beneficial as well.

Responsibilities:

Assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved. Cleaning and storing damaged properties until they can be returned to the home. Removing and replacing damaged materials, such as drywall, lumber, and carpets. Handling any issues caused by water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold. Sanitizing structural features that can be saved. Answering complaints, explaining job specifications and invoices, and performing other customer service duties. Adhering to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment. Be willing to be on-call nights, weekends, and holidays. Rotating schedule for on-call.

Skills:

• Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools for restoration work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
