Job Description
Field Service Technician AeroGo seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team! AeroGo is a world leader in the manufacturing of innovative equipment for moving heavy loads and tooling utilizing hovercraft and wheeled technology. The company sells throughout the world from Seattle. Our 70+ employees have developed the best service and quality standards in the industry. The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience for our customers by troubleshooting and repairing issues with AeroGo products and equipment at customer sites. This position requires traveling (80%) to customer locations and providing excellent customer service to boost customer retention and satisfaction. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
DUTIES:
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair AeroGo equipment in the field. Effectively communicate completion schedules, customer expectations, project scope, and all critical notes relevant to desired outcomes, with the Sales team, the Engineering team, and the customer. Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings based on warranty requirements and service agreements. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions, in collaboration with the Engineering and customer service teams. Produce detailed service reports. Teach customers how to use equipment properly. Build positive and professional relationships with customers. When not traveling, assist the engineering team with product testing and creation of product manuals. Make travel arrangements and complete expense reporting. Assist the mechanical and electrical assembly teams with the assembly of AeroGo product. Promote a positive work environment by modeling AeroGo core values. Other job duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated hands-on experience with systems: pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and DC electrical; minimum two disciplines required, three to four preferred. Previous, significant mechanical and electrical assembly experience. Good problem resolution and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills; written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills to perform electronic diagnostics. Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools. Mathematical skills including the calculation of percentages, area, circumference, volume, and conversions of Units of Measure and Weights. Possesses an understanding of PLC controllers, and how they are used in systems. Capable of reading & understanding electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and cable diagrams. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, or mechanical systems highly desirable. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to be self-directed, requiring minimal supervision. Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time. Ability to collaborate and work effectively across departments while building trusting relationships and positively influencing others. Travel This position requires 80% travel by car and plane. This includes overnight stays in the United States and occasionally international travel. Passport is required. Employee must meet TSA requirements to fly and be insurable to drive employee's own vehicle and rental cars. Background Check All positions are required to successfully complete a background check. This position requires travel to customer sites with security clearance requirements.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay range between $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience. Excellent benefits include medical (HSA and preferred plan options), dental, vision, 401(k) matching, Employee Assistance Program, and referral bonus. Physical Requirements The position requires working in a factory environment which may include hot, cold, or noisy conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Also required is the ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Must be able to walk extended distances over uneven ground while wearing proper PPE.Job Type:
