We're looking for a skilled Mechanic/Field Service Technician to join our team and ensure our equipment performs flawlessly in the field. Job Summary Maxon Industries is seeking a Mechanic/Field Service Technician with expertise in hydraulics, diesel systems, and electrical troubleshooting. This role involves in-house assembly, equipment calibration, and field service to support our customers. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver comfortable with domestic and international travel (up to 25% of the year) and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude. Key Responsibilities Perform final assembly of equipment in-house, including truck chassis mounting, hydraulic plumbing, and wiring of E-stop and control circuits. Conduct initial start-up and calibration of hydraulic power units (diesel and electric). Recondition and service rental fleet equipment to maintain operational readiness. Provide technical support to customers via phone or in-person for troubleshooting field issues. Perform on-site equipment setup, break-in, and operator training at customer locations. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a mechanic or field service technician in heavy equipment or industrial machinery. Valid Driver's License Full set of tools (wrenches, sockets, specialty items) Ability to operate a forklift & overhead cranes (certification preferred). Troubleshooting ability (mechanical, hydraulic & electrical) o Diesel System Knowledge o Heavy Equipment Knowledge o Hydraulic Circuits (JIC/S, SAE, BSPP) o Electrical troubleshooting ability (12V
DC, 24V DC, 110V AC
circuits) Welding experience (MIG, Stick) Hot work experience (torch, plasma cutter, grinder, etc.) Willingness to travel (less than 25% of the year, domestic and international) Benefits
