Job Description

June through October. This job includes a furnished apartment in a shop on the property that is half of the salary. This job is primarily cleaning a large guest accommodation from 5-6 times per month, plus two smaller units that are also cleaned about 3-5 times per month (or more). A 4th and 5th accommodation will be added this summer and compensation to rise as high as $2000 per month. It's ok to have an additional part time job but some of the times for cleaning are not flexible.

ABOUT THE SHEPHERD'S RETREAT
The Shepherd's Retreat (the Retreat) is a family-owned guest house opened in June 2022 and operates all year. Guests are booking on VRBO and Airbnb. The primary attraction of the Retreat is the remote and family friendly atmosphere that allows large families to share the same space without needing to book multiple rooms in a hotel. We pride ourselves on comfort, personalized interaction with our guests, and a historical atmosphere the guests enjoy exploring.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working with the General Manager, the primary function of the Property Manager (PM)/Caretaker will be to take care of the 20-acre property containing 3-5 vacation rentals.
THE REAL JOB YOU WILL DO
General upkeep of property around the main house, various other guest accommodations, shops, sheds, corrals, and other buildings. Clean a house Clean an apartment Clean a 1 bed 24 foot Kodiak Camper Eventually clean a 20 foot Tipi Eventually clean a Sheep Wagon
THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES YOU HAVE NOW
You must be able to: Live onsite to complete all tasks. This is NOT a remote position. Make beds, clean bathrooms, do laundry, and complete a variety of other cleaning and sanitizing tasks. Basic building and homeowner's maintenance skills, such as ability to use a complete variety of hand tools and cordless tools, minor plumbing, painting, and repair work. Ability to use and communicate frequently by cellular phone, text message, email, and photographs. Ability to keep excellent electronic documentation of time spent and tasks completed, including photographs of progress being made.
ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, & EQUIPMENT USAGE
You must have reliable transportation. A truck or SUV is best. Reliable smart phone/camera that can send pictures of progress. Lift and carry 50 pounds and sometimes more. Living space has everything necessary. Utilities and Wifi included.
EDUCATION & LICENSING
Must have a driver's license.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS EXPECTATIONS
We must always be guest-oriented; courteous, polite, and respectful. Like showing what real Montana hospitality is, even if you aren't from Montana. We must all be able to communicate by multiple methods, including phone, text, and email. Everyone maintains their own mobile phone in this modern world. Providing detailed information and politely acknowledging the communications of others (i.e., closing the loop) is just good practice. Apply via Indeed.
