Handyperson / Maintenance

This position covers all Whetstone Station Associates properties and facilities, currently including, but not limited to Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery, Kampfires Campground, Inn and Entertainment Complex, The Rollin' 'Stone Food Truck and the Whetstone Craft Beer brewery complex. Seeking a self motivated individual to work efficiently and independently. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including some weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.

Responsibilities include the following:

Maintain all properties and facilities to Vermont Department of Health Codes. Maintain all properties and facilities to owners standards. Perform all work safely and exercise all required and reasonable safety measures to protect yourself, other staff and guests. Complete tasks on the maintenance lists across all locations. Complete small projects within your training and capabilities including but not limited to small carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical. Provide maintenance and assist in minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and building systems; may perform routine carpentry work. Maintain light fixtures / light bulbs at all properties. Cleaning and organizing projects as assigned. Upkeep of all painted surfaces, and new painting projects as assigned. Seasonal opening of properties and facilities as necessary, including Kampfires, Whetstone Station Bier Garten and Patio. Daily maintenance and upkeep of the miniature golf course and greens at Kampfires. Daily maintenance of campsites and grounds at Kampfires Daily swimming pool cleanliness, skimming, vacuuming and balancing / maintenance of the chemical levels at Kampfires Ordering firewood at Kampfires. Moving trash and recycling from small cans to dumpsters at Kampfires. Cleaning fire pits at Kampfires Spray bee and wasps nests as needed Drive the bus for camper outings and assist as need with other camper activities at Kampfires. Setup and breakdown events in the amphitheatre, pavillion, pool deck and clubhouse at Kampfires. Clean grills as needed and fill propane tanks at Kampfires. Order and stock needed materials and supplies. Collect and dispose of waste, and assists in keeping outside premises in an orderly condition at all properties..
