Job Description
Logging Jobs In Alaska ( Kodiak) Southeast Alaska Logging is currently seeking a well-adapted Journeyman Level Field Mechanic at a remote job site on Afognak Island Alaska. The right candidate must be able to perform the following: Repairing and diagnosing of heavy equipment to include all aspects of logging and road building Must be proficient in identifying and troubleshooting failures of engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems. Preferred experience with John Deere logging and road building equipment, also some CAT. Must be able to identify when a failure can be repaired rather than a new part installed. Welding and Fabricating when needed. Repairing large scale remote generator if needed.
