Sensors Full Job Description Job Description:
A CNC Maintenance Mechanic role focuses on keeping Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines running efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/hydraulic issues, and replacing parts like bearings, ballscrews, and spindles, aiming to minimize costly downtime through skilled repair and upkeep, often requiring reading technical manuals and schematics.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conducting routine lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and inspections.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnosing and fixing issues with mechanical (spindles, gears, belts), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Component Replacement:
Swapping out worn or broken parts like motors, sensors, and ball screws.
System Upkeep:
Maintaining related facility systems and ensuring machine stability.
Support:
Working with production teams to quickly resolve alarms and get machines back online.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong understanding of machine mechanics, precision tools, and component function.
