Overview We are seeking a dynamic Forklift Repair Service Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our customers' operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on forklifts and industrial equipment using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Perform repairs and maintenance on forklifts, including engine repairs, brake service, transmission work, hydraulics, suspension, and air brake systems. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques. Conduct inspections on equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors, farm machinery, and other heavy machinery to identify wear or damage. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and safety standards are met before returning it to service. Maintain detailed service records and complete all documentation accurately for each repair or maintenance task. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and tire services as required to support overall equipment maintenance. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy machinery repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of forklifts, excavators, cranes, tractors, and other industrial equipment. Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and use of hand tools and power tools. Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem resolution. Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
