Job Description:

As a Zero-Turn Mechanic at Wilson Dismukes Inc., you'll play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining zero-turn mowers and small engines. You'll work on industry-leading brands like Gravely and Exmark, using your technical skills to keep our customers' equipment running smoothly. This job works under the chief mechanic. This job replaces parts and services engines based on findings and diagnoses by the chief mechanic. The chief mechanic work under the direction of the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in zero-turn mowers and small engines, including Kawasaki, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, blade sharpening, belt replacements, and tune-ups. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components. Ensure equipment is repaired and tested to meet manufacturer specifications and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided. Keep the workshop clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards. Provide your own hand tools. Wilson Dismukes will work to provide consumables.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a small engine or zero-turn mechanic (preferred). Strong understanding of outdoor power equipment, including Gravely and Exmark mowers. Familiarity with Kawasaki, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton, and other small engines is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient with diagnostic tools and hand tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Provide own tools. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work on your feet for extended periods. Non-smoking and drug-free work environment.
