Heavy Equipment Field/Shop Mechanic Moody, AL 35004 Up to $50 an hour - Full-time Up to $50 an hour - Full-time Our company is seeking an Equipment Technician who will work around heavy machinery and perform preventative maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. We're seeking a candidate who can multitask and also solve problems creatively and independently.
- Inspect and determine the extent of repair needed on excavators, loaders, backhoe's and other diesel and gas-powered construction equipment.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs on equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoe's etc. as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
