Job Description
Overview Must have experience . We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the rental industry. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of construction equipment, industrial machinery, diesel trucks and automotive vehicles used in rental operations. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and reliably to meet customer needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including dirt equipment, aerial equipment, forklifts, small engines, and customer owned equipment, while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment, small tools, scissor lifts, forklifts, dirt equipment and also including tractors and trailers. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid replacements, filter changes, tire service, and brake repairs to ensure optimal performance. Utilize schematics to understand equipment layouts and systems for effective repairs. Conduct alignments and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of machinery. Communicate clearly with team members repair status or equipment concerns for owned fleet and customers equipment in a timely manner while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on equipment. Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision. Respond to on-site service calls in a timely and professional manner. Safely transport parts and tools to remote job sites as needed. Perform mobile hydraulic hose repair and troubleshooting. Fabricate parts or modify existing components as needed to meet specific repair requirements or improve equipment functionality. Requirements Must have 5 years experience in aerial equipment (scissor lift, boom lifts and telehandlers). Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, small engines. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and service bulletins accurately. Must have own tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL a plus). Qualifications Basic welding/fabrication. Able to work independently in the field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience).
