Heavy Equipment Mechanic Motive Companies - 2.9 Anaheim, CA Job Details Contract $32 - $45 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Heavy Equipment Mechanic The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing timely, high‑quality repairs and preventive maintenance on company‑owned diesel equipment. This role works closely with supervisors and field staff to ensure equipment readiness, safety, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical issues on heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators, John Deere, CAT). Perform general diesel system repairs and routine maintenance. Troubleshoot and maintain all heavy equipment to ensure operational readiness. Conduct test runs after repairs and follow all safety procedures. Communicate effectively with crew members and management. Support additional tasks as assigned. Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of heavy equipment maintenance/repair experience. Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to follow direction. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and safety‑focused. Education & Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Construction industry experience preferred. 40‑Hr HAZWOPER or 8‑Hr refresher required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must pass drug screen, physical, and background check. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires manual dexterity, full range of motion, and ability to work in various field conditions.
Compensation:
$32-45/hr
