Golf Course Mechanic Full-time

00 an hour Reports to the Golf Course Superintendent Greenhorn Creek Resort seeks to fill an immediate vacancy for
Golf Course Mechanic Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Mechanic repairs all equipment associated with course maintenance department. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, assisting in the training of staff in safe use and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment, and advising the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs.
Responsibilities:
include, but are not limited to; Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies. Repair and adjust equipment as needed. Lubricate and service all course maintenance equipment as necessary. Maintain service, repair, and usage records on all equipment. Establish safety procedures and maintain safety records for equipment operation. Demonstrate to staff the use of new equipment and train in safe operation and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment. Plan and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment. Advise the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs. Perform general overhauls of equipment as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
5-year experience with golf course equipment repair or auto repair. High school, college degree, preferred but not required. Valid driver's license. Driving record meeting Company safety policies and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to repair golf course equipment. Demonstrated quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision. Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
Physical Requirements and Work Availability Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, sit, walk, use hands to grasp, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. Finger dexterity is needed to operate tools and equipment. The work consists of repetitive golf course tasks. This position requires the employee to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lifts and carries heavy equipment and/or materials (up to 50 pounds) to perform assignments. Must possess the visual acuity necessary to read maps and diagrams, operate a vehicle and heavy construction equipment, and read and prepare records. Must be available to work late shifts and weekends, according to the business needs.
