In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting various industries including construction, agriculture, and industrial services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to a team committed to excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and forklifts using OEM schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other critical components of construction machinery. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, and power tools to ensure equipment functions efficiently. Service and maintain farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and construction machinery to meet safety standards and operational requirements. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately before executing repairs. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while replacing tires, aligning wheels, repairing suspensions, or assembling parts for various types of heavy equipment. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and OEM specifications. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance in dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts safely and efficiently. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, and service manuals for precise repairs. Knowledge of construction equipment servicing standards and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
