Mobile Crusher and Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Crusher and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work effectively on various types of equipment including jaw and impact crushers, conveyors, screens, scrapers, excavators, dozers. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support ongoing operations. Duties Mobile Mechanic with Crane Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment such as crushers, excavators, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, OEM manuals, and automotive diagnostics tools. Repair or replace faulty components including transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools. Maintain detailed service records and document repairs accurately. Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes after repairs to verify proper functioning. Assist in troubleshooting electrical systems and perform wiring repairs when necessary. Assist in troubleshooting fuel and def systems and performing repairs when necessary. Use power tools and specialized equipment to perform assembly and disassembly of machinery components. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Requirements Proven experience with all aspects of mobile and stationary crushers, screens, and stackers, including crusher wear parts (belts, skirting, blowbars, anvil plates, wear liners. Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician with a strong background in automotive repair and industrial equipment maintenance. Dealership experience preferred; familiarity with Caterpillar, OEM parts, schematics, and factory repair procedures is highly desirable. Proficiency in diagnosing issues related to hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, HVAC systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems. Skilled in hard facing, welding, fabrication, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs and modifications. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary for testing or repair purposes. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklift trucks, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and other industrial machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs and maintenance issues. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; ability to operate various types of heavy machinery required.
