Position Summary:

The Contractor, Employee Pilot Build Assembly & Laboratory Technician supports prototype and pilot builds and validation testing for next-generation EV charging equipment. The role assembles mechanical/electrical subassemblies and test hardware, documents test activities and defects, and helps maintain lab/build quality standards and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

Work in a highly cross functional team in a fast-paced environment. Maintain build quality standards and ensure best practices are followed in all build activities. Maintain all lab equipment and provide a professional working environment on the shop floor. Collaborate with Engineering on writing build procedures and work instructions for various mechanical and electrical assemblies. Participate in tear downs and document issues and defects into reports utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc. Develop and fabricate mechanical fixtures or jigs for test stages. Build high voltage electrical test boxes and harnesses to support testing. Execute tests utilizing high voltage electrical test equipment. Support validation test & builds for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products.
