Entry Level Yard Assistant

Express Sewer and Drain is a family-owned business of 16 years with continual growth. We are looking for an exceptional shop assistant to join our team. This position will require the shop employee to drive often, deliver supplies and tools as needed to our field crews, so, a valid and clear CA driver's license is required. Candidate will often be involved in moving materials and cleaning warehouse so the ability to lift 100 lbs. is a must. The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics: Excellent organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self motivated and highly disciplined Good at multi-tasking and time management with the ability to prioritize tasks Have a valid driver's license and good driving record Can lift 100 pounds, unassisted Has a "can-do" attitude Always conduct oneself in a professional manner

Requirements :

The Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting the Operation, Project & other Managers to help carry out daily activities. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Be able to perform effectively in a team environment, as well as work efficiently on their own with minimal supervision. Possess strong communication skills to interact with different teams in their organization. Coordinate equipment needs with Operation & Project Managers by performing equipment inspections and routine washing Be able to operate and move various types of heavy equipment Service equipment, trucks, and small tools. Pick up and deliver parts, supplies and attachments. Keep shop and tools clean and organized Accept and process deliveries and shipments. Assist any employee with additional tasks. preparing materials and equipment for upcoming projects and receiving and restocking equipment and materials from finished projects Comply with all company safety policies Comply with all company policies and procedures Must pass drug test including marijuana

Knowledge of shop safety and OSHA regulations. Mechanical Experience Welding Experience Bilingual in English-Spanish. Operate forklift
