Operations Manager Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Welder to join our agricultural operations team. This person will maintain, repair, and fabricate components for a variety of agricultural and heavy equipment. In addition, they will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing mechanical systems and equipment, and keeping a record of all repair work accomplished. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and extensive experience in agricultural heavy equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities:

Farm Equipment Maintenance:

Inspect, service, and repair excavators, loaders, dozers, tractors, sprayers, harvesters, shakers, and other field equipment Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal readiness checks on farm and development machinery. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Request Purchase Orders for products and services Familiarity with safety hazards, procedures, and protocols for a safe work environment

General Duties:

Maintain accurate records of service and repairs. Work collaboratively with farm and plant operations teams to coordinate maintenance schedules. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Coordinate with accounting team to obtain purchase orders Maintain cleanliness of shop and yard Maintain inventory of parts and filters for shop

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or relevant training preferred. 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Valid driver's license Ability to work flexible hours during harvest and peak processing seasons. Bilingual a plus

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Exposure to dust, noise, and agricultural chemicals. Physical demands include standing, lifting (50+ lbs), bending, and climbing ladders or equipment. Willing to adjust to seasonal work loads; spray season, harvest, etc.
