Part-Time (Flexible Hours) Position Summary Perennial Lawn & Landscape is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to maintain and repair our fleet of commercial lawn care and landscape equipment. This position is ideal for a retired mechanic, equipment technician, farmer, tradesperson, or someone looking for supplemental income through evening, weekend, or flexible part-time work. The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of commercial landscape equipment to ensure our crews have safe, reliable equipment ready for daily operations. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial landscape equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on: Commercial zero-turn mowers Riding mowers Stand-on mowers Push mowers Backpack blowers String trimmers Edgers Hedge trimmers Chainsaws Fertilizer spreaders Sprayers Aerators Other landscape maintenance equipment Change oil, filters, spark plugs, belts, blades, bearings, and other wear items. Sharpen and balance mower blades. Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, electrical, hydraulic, and drive systems. Maintain repair and maintenance records. Assist with parts ordering and inventory management. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Respond to occasional equipment breakdowns and operational needs. Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required. Experience repairing small engines, lawn equipment, farm equipment, automotive equipment, or similar machinery preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Ability to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license preferred. Schedule This is a flexible part-time position, and we are willing to work around the right candidate's schedule.
