ROLEThe Utility Operator safely and efficiently performs a variety of tasks and equipment operation to assist the needs of the facility.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc. Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment Perform unloading functions Assist with general mechanical maintenance Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Other duties as assignedWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High School diploma/GEDAdditional Education Preferred:
Associate's degree in a mechanical, electrical or a related fieldRequired Work Experience:
1 -3 years of heavy equipment operating in a heavy manufacturing environmentRequired Technical Skills:
Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques. Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Travel Requirements:
Local travelAdditional Requirements:
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance background; welding experience desired Autonomous, meticulous, exercises good judgment Ability to work well on their own and in a team environment Experience in the operation of heavy equipment The candidate must be flexible regarding his/her work schedule Knowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.WHAT WE OFFER
