Full Job Description Job Summary:
Full time, hourly position. Candidate is a skilled heavy vehicle, diesel and mobile equipment mechanic with the ability to diagnose most problems and perform the appropriate repairs. This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting and working in awkward positions. You will be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dust, dirt and shop environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment & vehicle problems to determine method and extent of repairs needed.
  • Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals, computer programs and schematics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Safely operate equipment, standard and specialty tools, welders, hoists and other lifting devices, etc. on a daily basis.
  • Maintain work area and shop in a clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Vocational or Technical School certification
  • Three or more years' experience repairing and maintaining trucks or heavy equipment.
  • A valid drivers' license
  • Computer knowledge
  • The willingness and availability to work overtime and weekends
  • The ability to be a self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and PLC systems.
  • The ability to routinely lift heavy items.

Pay:
$34.00 - $38.00 per hour
