Forklift Service Technician (Forklift Mechanic)

Maybury Material Handling is a Crown forklift dealer looking to add to our team of outstanding Road Service Technicians throughout Western Mass and Connecticut to support our ongoing growth. We have career opportunities available for individuals with and without prior mechanic experience who like working with their hands, are mechanically inclined and who are interested in working on the road. In this position, you will receive a company vehicle and travel right from your home to our warehousing, distribution and manufacturing customers to maintain and repair forklifts. Through our comprehensive training and mentoring program, our technicians have the opportunity to develop and grow not only forklift maintenance and repair skills but they also learn to perform service on other types of material handling equipment such as conveyors, dock equipment, high speed doors, etc. Benefits of being a Maybury Road Service Technician Apprentice include: Competitive hourly rate and paid for 100% of your travel time. Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools. Previous experience as an auto or diesel mechanic or maintenance, repair, or related experience is preferred but not required. Ability or aptitude to learn to read and interpret documents such as electrical wiring/hydraulic schematics and procedure manuals. Intermediate Windows, email and internet skills as well as great customer service skills. Valid driver's license and good driving history is required. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
