Job Description

Job Overview We're hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain specialized aerial lift equipment. The role involves both shop and occasional field service work. The client is looking for candidates with strong troubleshooting experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, sensors, and electronic controls. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systems Troubleshoot sensors, wiring, and CANBUS systems Perform preventative maintenance and annual inspections Complete work orders and service documentation accurately Support customers with technical issues in person and over the phone Move equipment within the facility or to customer sites when needed Participate in occasional field service assignments after training Required Background Strong experience from one or more of the following industries: Heavy Equipment Diesel Repair Automotive Repair Industrial Machinery Aviation Maintenance Field Service Repair Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with strong driving record Ability to lift 70+ lbs Comfortable with physical shop work Comfortable using computers, tablets, and smartphone apps Strong troubleshooting skills Willingness to learn and grow Preferred Qualifications Hydraulic troubleshooting experience Electrical diagnostics / wiring experience CANBUS or electronic control systems knowledge OSHA 10 certification DOT medical card Forklift certification Military mechanical training Technical school training (diesel, automotive, aviation, or heavy equipment) Travel Occasional local and regional travel within the U.S. and Canada after training Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Company-paid Life & Short-Term Disability 401(k) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) PTO + Floating Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Professional Development Opportunities
