Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in Palm Beach, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee Counties . Housing is located in Clewiston, FL (Hendry County). D.
Job Offer:
Mechanic:
Drive and repair cane harvesters, dump wagons, and other mechanized, electrically powered, or motor-driven equipment on farms or in farm equipment repair shops. Workers will operate farm machinery, equipment, and vehicles. Workers will be instructed in the safe operation of the equipment before operating it. Workers will be expected to operate equipment, with or without direction, in a manner that protects the operator, visitors, other employees, crops, trees, facilities, and equipment. Failure to comply with operating and safety standards may result in termination. This is a very demanding and competitive business in which quality specifications must be rigorously adhered to. The equipment workers will be operating and maintaining is expensive and dangerous. Workers are expected to follow the employer's instructions not only to prevent damage to the equipment but also to prevent injuries to workers. Any equipment damaged by a worker's failure to follow instructions or damaged due to malice will be charged to the worker. Failure to comply with safety requirements and perating instructions may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment. Examine and listen to machines, motors, gasoline and diesel engines, and equipment for operational defects, and dismantle defective units using hand tools. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and shop tools. Replace components such as carburetors, fuel pumps, generators, ignition points, and spark plugs. Reassemble, adjust, and lubricate machines and equipment to ensure efficient operation. May install and repair wiring and motors to maintain farm electrical systems. May assist other workers in more complex maintenance tasks, such as overhauling machinery and equipment. May assemble and erect new farm machinery and equipment. Workers may be required to operate tractors and other farm equipment during field operations. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing work clothing and boots or other durable footwear. Workers wearing clothing inappropriate for work will not be permitted to start work. Workers must notify supervisors of any mechanical issues. Workers may be required to operate tractors according to instructions and in a manner that protects the operator, other workers, trees, crops, and equipment. Repeated failure to follow operating and safety instructions may result in termination.
Pay:
Florida Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) - $17.23 per hour ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is August 3, 2026 to September 19, 2026 .
Hours:
42 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 7 hours per day . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance. Family housing is not available. Meals (Board): Employers will furnish free cooking and kitchen facilities to those workers who are entitled to live in the employers' housing so that workers may prepare their own meals. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employers will offer to provide (on a voluntary basis by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries. In the event kitchen facilities are not available workers staying in employer housing will be provided 3 meals per day at the current subsistence rate as posted in the federal register. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
