Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in Hillsborough County. Housing is located in Dover, Plant City, and Valrico, Florida ( Hillsborough County). D.

All Activities:
Workers will perform all job specifications as instructed by the Shop Supervisor. Employees should adhere to all personal and equipment safety requirements. Duties may vary from time to time and may include all the following job specifications. The Mechanic is responsible for performing a full range of advanced and complex maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and services on a full range of motorized vehicles and farm equipment under the Shop Mechanic Manager instructions. Ensure the Company's high customer satisfaction levels are achieved.
Maintenance, Diagnostic, Service, Repair and Fabrication:
(95% of the time)
  • All the Maintenance, Diagnostics, service, repair and fabrication can be done at the shop or at the fields in variable weather conditions with such as rain, muddy terrain, dust, wind with cold and hot weather.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments on such things as fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches. Changes filter and oil. Lubricates vehicles and motor-driven equipment.
  • Road test vehicles, as needed.
  • Diagnose, service and repair various systems on heavy equipment such as mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, and transmissions.
  • Repair and service track drive sprockets, rails, idler wheels, hard bars, track adjusters, hydraulic reversers, final drives, brake bands, steering clutches, speed tandem drive axles with air or electric shift, hydrostatic driven, heavy duty multi-axle suspensions (both conventional steel or air springs).
  • Fabricate, modify and install special equipment or replacement parts using mills, lathes, welders, torch sets, plasma cutter and metal cutting saws.
  • Tunes gas and diesel engines, services values, fuel filters and turbochargers, and pressure checks fuel filters, adjusts injector heights, fuel racks, governors, etc. Diagnoses problems, disassembles units, repairs or replaces parts, and reassembles units in the following systems:
  • Brakes:
    Repairs or replaces shoes, pads, drums, hoses, calipers, cylinders, and heavy-duty air brakes.
  • Cooling:
    Fuses, radiator, replaces hoses and thermostat, repairs or replaces radiator and water pump, fan drives, DCA treatment filters, air intercoolers and oil coolers.
  • Drives:
    Repairs and replaces drive shaft, differential, axle, manual automatic and sophisticated computer-controlled transmissions, clutches, transfer cases,
  • power take-off systems, transmission reversers, all-wheel drive steering axles and final drives.
  • Electrical:
    Repairs or replaces fuses, batteries, lights, instruments, warning devices, controls and switches, computer controls, modules, alternators, starters, and defective cables and wiring. Includes 12 and 24-volt systems found on military equipment.
  • Exhaust and Emission Control:
    Replaces mufflers, manifolds, catalytic converters, turbochargers, blowers, and pipes.
  • Heating and Air Conditioning:
    Repairs or replaces heater cores, condensers, compressors, hoses, and controls, and recharges air conditioning systems.
  • Hydraulic:
    Repairs or replaces pumps, hoses, valves, air tanks and hoses.
  • Air:
    Repairs or replaces compressors, air dryers, brake valves, air tanks and hoses.
  • Steering and Suspension Systems:
    Aligns and balances wheels, repairs or replaces tie rods, ball joints, gear boxes, shock absorbers, springs, steering linkage, kingpins, power steering, hoses, pumps, walking beam suspensions and air suspensions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop, including the interior and exterior of the building and parts storage areas.
  • Clean and organize the tools after every use.
Pay:
Florida Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) - $23.00 per hour ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is August 3, 2026 to May 22, 2027.
Hours:
36 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 6 hours per day . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance. Family housing is not available. Meals (Board): The employer will provide free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and free weekly transportation to the grocery store to workers living in employer-provided housing which will enable workers to prepare their own meals. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of H-2A workers: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
